POET: Sunni Patterson from New Orleans @ Legacy Books
Saturday 5/24 8:30pm
Legacy Books and Cafe
5429 Delmar Ave
Saint Louis, MO
During CODEPINK St. Louis's recent trip to New Orleans for the 10th anniversary of the Vagina Monologues, we were lucky enough to meet the amazing spoken word poet and Hurricane Katrina survivor Sunni Patterson. Faye, who was on the trip, has arranged for Sunni to be in St. Louis this weekend for some amazing events. CODEPINK members can check out Sunni this Saturday at 8:30 at Legacy Books and Cafe, 5429 Delmar Avenue ($10 at the door). You can watch a video of the trip to New Orleans with some of Sunni's poetry here (her poem starts at about the 2:30 mark):
