Obscure Postcards @ Fort Gondo

Obscure Postcards presents local photographers Brett Beckemeyer and
Alan Palmer with photographs from around the world. Themes focusing on
urban formation, urban decay, and the built environment unite a
variety of photographic vantage points ranging from the
photojournalistic to the
abstract. Bangkok, Chicago, Montreal, Tokyo, and Quebec are among the
cities represented in the respective works.

Opening reception will be held Friday, March 14th from 7-10 p.m. at
the Fort Gondo Compound for the Arts @ 3151 Cherokee Street.

Black Bear Bakery: Pan de Muertos

Black Bear Bakery will be participating in the Day of the Dead Celebrations by
introducing our Pan de Muertos that week from October 31 to Nov. 3rd. This "Bread of
the Dead" for the Day of the Dead is a light wheat with flavors of anise and orange topped with images of skulls or other scary things. See below for information on the Day of the Dead Celebration at the Community Arts and Media Project (CAMP) announced on the Benton Park West listserve.
