Genetically modified corn has been linked to a threat to fertility in an
official study that could deliver a hammer blow to controversial 'Frankenstein
Food'.

Most of the research on GM crop safety has been conducted by
biotech companies, such as Monsanto, rather than outside independent
laboratories. A long-term feeding trial commissioned by the Austrian
government found mice fed on GM corn or maize had fewer offspring and lower
birth rates.

WASHINGTON — Carbon dioxide isn't the only greenhouse gas that worries climate scientists. Airborne levels of two other potent gases — one from ancient plants, the other from flat-panel-screen technology — are on the rise, too.

And that concerns scientists worried about accelerated global warming.

Pakistan, China likely to sign nuclear deal, says envoy

Both countries have always supported the peaceful use of civil nuclear energy and an agreement in this connection is expected to be signed during the President's visit to China which began on Tuesday, envoy Masood Khan said.

The two countries will ink several agreements in the fields of technology, agriculture and minerals. They will also sign an investment protocol to their existing free trade agreement to boost investments in Pakistan, he told Geo News channel.

Without customers of Huntingdon Life Sciences (HLS) there simply would be no Huntingdon Life Sciences (HLS). The customers pay Huntingdon to test products and carry out research. If Huntingdon lost all their customers then they would have no income and be forced to close. There are only ten companies which give Huntingdon Life Sciences 45% of their income; these include Novartis, GlaxoSmithKline, and Bristol-Myers Squibb.
